In 2015 they're there but no real risk unless you run over a spike strip. However performance customisation in Payback is tied to the hideous speedcard and lootbox system that it just makes the whole process of upgrading a car a god damn nightmare and lose all meaning.Ĭars: In 2015 pretty much all the cars have similar top speeds when completely upgraded, however with the rating system in payback this is no longer the case and you will have to move towards muscle and exotic cars at the end of the game (assuming races need you to go above level 299 in campaign).Ĭops: much better in payback but with no free roam cops it kinda doesn't count. Handling: Paybacks handling is much better but I don't think 2015 is as bad as everyone says, unless you want to grip and not drift, then it's very bad.Ĭustomisation: Visually they are similar, with payback having some more things like wheelie bars etc. Also payback has the non-sarcastic line 'street racing anarchist hacker' or something similar o I don't think you can ever redeem yourself from that. The payback story and voice acting is just so god damn awful, one specific example is how bi polar Tyler seems when dealing with every situation, sometimes being very agreeable and in the next sentence it's as if the idea is laughable. Story: I know a lot of people didn't like 2015s story, but aside from the cringe, I felt like the acting and storylines are better than payback. Here's a brief summary of my compatisons: I recently just played through nfs2015 befote starting payback.
